The Deo Akope Foundation is a Ugandan charity founded by legendary golfer Deo Akope. Our mission is to nurture and develop young golfing talent, providing opportunities for them to thrive in the sport.

From Humble Beginnings to Grand Dreams

Deo Akope's own story fuels the foundation's mission. He started his golfing journey in the early 90s with a makeshift club and rubber band balls, a testament to his dedication despite limited resources. Now, he wants to empower young people with more privilege to achieve even greater heights in the sport.

More Than Just the Game

The Deo Akope Foundation goes beyond just teaching golf skills. Recognizing the holistic nature of success, the foundation aims to:

• Identify and nurture talent: Focuses on young golfers between 10-18 years old, providing them with the guidance and support they need to thrive.

• Bridge the gap: Ensures continued practice and development by working with schools and local courses,creating a year-round program that complements academics.

• Provide resources: Assists with equipment needs and connects young golfers to tournaments, both local and international, for exposure and competition.
